This interesting painting was created by an aboriginal
woman artist in response to suggestions from Professor Michael
"Mick" McManus, the Dean of Biological and Chemical
Sciences--and thus one of Julie's bosses. It extends from dream time to
future time.
Julie and Grant are enjoying their music. Here they are
playing a duet after work.
The next day, we held a birthday party for Sharon, who
is seen here plucking the candles out of her delicious birthday
cake.
Grant's mother, Sandra, attended the party and enjoyed
her time with Stella.
The next night we attended one of Julie's music sessions
with friends. Julie, Kirstin and Liz are playing a trio, accompanied by
George on his portable reed organ. All are members of a larger community
orchestra that was having a summer break while we were
there.
On Friday morning, January 7, we were off to Cape Byron.
Along the way we stopped at the Moo-Moo Cafe in Mooball for morning
tea.
Here are Grant and Joel participating in the silliness
of the cafe.
Pastoral scene on the way to Cape
Byron.
Further along the way to Cape Byron, we saw this old
Court House building in Mullumbimby.
When we finally arrived at Cape
Byron, we saw this beautiful light house.
