Dear EEs,
You're such an inspiration and a verification that there are really elves. I believe in you without a doubt, wholeheartedly.

I need your advice and possibly some assistance. It seems my finance believes in nothing spiritual, nothing beyond the realm of the physical, everything good is only happenstance; everything bad is only happenstance. There is no luck, no superstitions, dreams don't come true, wishes on stars are stupid, Karma is not instant or even slow cooking, angels are figments as are elves (sorry). Art has no deeper meanings and poetry can only be taken at words' face value.

We were viewing a star cloud through the telescope once and I said: &quotHow can people see this and not believe in God?" and he replied: &quotHow can people see this and still believe in God?"

Yet he is a magical person, making my life into a everyday wonderful dream even though he doesn't believe in magic of course.

So, for advice, do you think I should marry him? Do you think it could be the most tremendous case of opposites attracting and we'll exist happily together in our life on the earth and afterward I'll just live without him in heaven while he'll continues on to oblivion or to non-existance.

Or do you think it will all turn into a hopeless mess? Am I just fooling myself into believing this kind of arrangement can work. Is it a dream that can't possibly come true?

Let me know soon as we are to marry at the end of this month.

P.S. You may wonder why he would even bother to take part in that great religious institution of marriage? It is for his Mom's sake because we want to try to have a child.

Thank you for your reply and advice. I pondered the Elfin way. I think that my fiance inadvertently and unknowingly makes factual and empirical evidence of the wonderfully magic events that I feel. He's also a bit of an anomaly in how righteous & honest he is without the fear of God. Also my life is the best now, better than it has ever been with him in it, next to me. He teaches me many things I need to learn. He sees something in me that I want to see in myself and I think I will in time. He likes my kids and my friends and he's willing to let us try to have another child. So, come December 29th, I'm ready to say "I do". We lived in Endwell for about 35 years, moving away 11 years. We always drove around Endwell to view the beautiful decorated houses, what a treat to do so again through this media. Thanks friends from Endwell for sending us the website.
