Change in Mission Parameters

This image began life as a ballpoint drawing in 1980. Some may recognize the astronaut as being based on a photo of a NASA moonwalker who was in the process of falling over. I thought he also made a good, dynamic sword-wielder. A friend of mine posed for "Dejah Thoris", while the White Ape was a purely made-up figure. I then proceeded to goof up the drawing by trying to color it with ink, doing a pretty lousy job. I would have been better off airbrushing it on, or just painting over the drawing. The compromised drawing sat for many years until I was able to scan it and start working on it in Photoshop. I added the sky gradient, which made it 3 times better right from the start. Another major change was moving the Dejah figure to another part of the drawing! She is now even optional...I can turn her right off if I want to.
