A unique happening for Aikido in our country was the visit of Mr. Ueshiba and his son in the weekend of the 13th - 15th of November 2009.The Yuwakai-organisation took him for a trip through the canals of Amsterdam and to the Rijksmuseum. Also he enjoyed the walk back to the Golden Tulip- Apollo Hotel through a light, typical Dutch rain. This morning and also the stage in Almere the next day shows us a true saying: Aikido is Family. We hope our Doshu liked his visit so much, that we will see him back sooner than we expect.
