 M16 - Eagle Nebula

Captured 8/4/02

Meade LX200 8" F10 + ST-237A CCD @ 0 deg.

Super Wedge, F5, Unguided

60 1 min L, 17,19,10 1 min. ea. RGB bin 1x1 exposures were captured with CCDSoft, Reduced with CCDSoft, Aligned with AIP4Win, combined and final adjustments in PhotoShop. I actualy collected 75 1 min Luminance frames and 25 1 minute each RGB frames. The frames used to make the image were selected for minimal tracking error. Meade LX200 8" F10 + ST-237A CCD @ -5 deg.

Super Wedge, IDAS LPS Filter, F5, Unguided

60 1 min L, 20 1 min. ea. RGB bin 1x1 exposures were captured with CCDSoft, Reduced with CCDSoft, Aligned with AIP4Win, deconvolution with CCDSharp, combined and final adjustments in PhotoShop. This is my first effort with the IDAS Light Pollution Filter from Hutech. I am very pleased with the results.I used the Click on the image to see the full size version.

60 1 min L, 20 1 min. ea. RGB exposures were captured with CCDSoft, Reduced with CCDSoft, Aligned with AIP4Win, combined and final adjustments in PhotoShop. The half Moon was just a few degrees away. Click on the image to see the full size version.

 NGC7662 - Blue Snowball Nebula

Captured 10/12/02

Meade LX200 8" F10 + ST-237A CCD @ -10 deg.

Equatorial mode, SuperWedge, Unguided

30 10 sec. L, 15 10 sec. ea. RGB exposures were captured with CCDSoft, Reduced with CCDSoft, Aligned with AIP4Win, combined and final adjustments in PhotoShop. Click on the image to see the full size version.

 IC434 - Horsehead Nebula

Captured 01/05/03

Meade LX200 8" F3.3 + Hutech LPS Filter + ST-237A CCD @ -20 deg.

Equatorial mode, SuperWedge, Unguided

LRGB , L 120 bin 1x1, RGB:30:30:30 binned 2x2, The 120 minutes of luminance was insufficient for this object. In an effort to improve the image quality the Luminance and Red were combined prior to normal LRGB processing. Exposures were collected with CCDSoft, Reduced with CCDSoft, Aligned and selectively discarded with AIP4Win, combined and final adjustments in PhotoShop. The final image was reduced to 75% of the original size to improve appearance. Click on the image to see the 75% size version.

IC434 - Horsehead Nebula

Captured 12/28/02

Meade LX200 8" F5 + Hutech LPS Filter + ST-237A CCD @ -25 deg.

Equatorial mode, SuperWedge, Unguided

LRGB = 94:22:24:20 (2 min. subexposures), Four hours of exposures were collected with CCDSoft, Reduced with CCDSoft, Aligned and selectively discarded with AIP4Win, combined and final adjustments in PhotoShop. Approximately 50% of the images were discarded due to tracking errors. Click on the image to see the full size version.

NGC2932 - Eskimo Nebuls

Captured 01/19/03

Meade LX200 8" F10 + ST-237A CCD @ -30 deg.

Equatorial mode, SuperWedge, Unguided

LRGB = 60:15:15:15 (30 sec. subexposures), Over 200 30 sec exposures were collected with CCDSoft, Reduced with CCDSoft, Aligned and selectively discarded with AIP4Win, combined and final adjustments in PhotoShop. Approximately 50% of the images were discarded due to tracking errors. I encountered frost on my chip for the first time with this image. Click on the image to see the full size version.

 M57 - Star Magnitudes

Captured 7/20/02

Meade LX200 8" F10 + ST-237A CCD @ 0 deg.
