Ready to start the job -- the poor Sonett is stripped down to bare essentials at the front.
Salvaged parts
Salvaged splash panel (from Vintage Saab Life Support) sprayed hammertone gray and fitted. When I got the car, this panel was missing entirely, so road splash had a free shot at the retracted headlight!
Storing removed parts
Removed parts stored in labeled zip-lock bags and pinned to the garage wall.

Stripping off undercoating shows lots of clean, shiny metal above...
Brake fluid damage
But area down by brake master cylinder has been eaten away heavily. Brake fluid spills and leaks over the years removed the undercoating and paint.
Checking reservoir
I removed the brake and clutch fluid reservoirs to clean them up...
