Playground Projects

In April of 2007 while living in Berlin, Germany I began working with the Berlin based designer and craftsman Tilman Stachat constructing unique children’s play environments. During my 14 months of employment I was involved in the fabrication and/or installation of three projects. I was hired primarily to assist with an expansive project Mr. Stachat had just been awarded by the city of Schleswig, one consisting of no fewer than eight play locations along the city's downtown waterfront. During this time I also helped with a weeklong installation of a dragon themed kindergarten playground in the city of Lubeck and a natural insect themed public playground in the Kreuzberg Berlin area. For the later I also helped with the finishing and final construction as well as the installation. In June of 2008 I returned to the United States were I hope to raise interest in the construction of equally creative forms here.
