Ismene – daughter of Oedipus; sister of Antigone
Haimon- son of Creon; tries to save Antigone’s life by convincing Creon to bury Polynieces; eventually tries to kill Creon after he finds dead Antigone, ends up killing himself (by sword)
Creon- King (dictator) of Thebes; forbids Antigone to bury her brother; refuses to listen to all who advise him to change his mind; finally listens to prophet, but too late; Antigone is dead→Haimon (his son) tries to kill him, misses and kills himself; wife kills self after finding out her son (Haimon) has died; in his stubbornness, Creon loses all
Teiresias- prophet who tells Creon he is worng
Eurydice- wife of Creon; kills herself after finding out about Haimon’s death
