Pragmatism was published in 1907. It was revised from a series of public lectures that James gave at the Lowell Institute in Boston. Like me, James was a neuroscientist. I think that the goal of his philosophical endeavors, like mine, is to somehow reconcile materialism with the abstract world of mathematics, logic and theology. |
