Working Notes : Formalism, Journalism and the Wisdom Literature

I have trouble formalizing my work in Decision Theory because it fails to fit in a conventional discipline.

The approach is too practical to be academic philosophy. And I'm not involved in the academic conversation. I don't expect academic philosophers to read my work, except by accident.

Arising from my own experience, my work is journalistic and fits what Covey called "The Wisdom Literature". Writing for the web has been writing for a general audience. I tell stories and link to stories, putting art in the service of truth.

Each time I've tried to put formal structure around this writing, it fails. It seems foolish to try again. I'm urged to do this because of the body of work I've created on the web since Dec 1999.
