My conceptual leap some years ago was to abandon the search for a Truth and to embrace uncertainty. Decision Theory recognizes that we are generally unable to predict the results of our actions because our knowledge of the world is so imperfect. Any particular choice of actions can result in a range of outcomes. Once the choice is made, the result is out of our control. |
