- • Organized and executed Windows rollout. Prior to this Cisco did not use Windows as a desktop computing environment.
- • Completed migration from LocalTalk to Ethernet network. Designed and maintained AppleTalk network resulting in clear pathways, easier access and reduced network load.
- • One of two Meeting Maker Administrators responsible for supporting the largest Meeting Maker XP distribution in the world (>15,000 users). Member of ON Technology's Corporate Partners program.
- • Researched, planned and implemented Macintosh backup scheme to ensure data integrity.
- • Facilitated moving engineering computers to new corporate site. This involved moving over 600 desktop systems from the Menlo Park offices to the new San Jose campus. This was done in two weekends with out any significant downtime.
- • Awarded for establishing departmental web pages. Corporate web standards development, including Artwork, Templates, Layout and Guidelines. Initiated internal corporate web page standards greatly improving internal communications.
- • Participated in RFP to determine system vendor relationship. Was one of 6 people who determined which VAR would be chosen for support and sales of desktop systems. Decision resulted in increased system availability and reduced downtime. Negotiated license agreements for major software applications. Worked with vendors on software licensing agreements.
- • Tested and evaluated beta Software and Hardware products to keep on leading edge.
- • UNIX systems administration. Supported printing, X Servers, daily problems, and cross-platform communication.
