Hot times!

Thank you Pamela, Rod and Mark!

Some of you may remember the play structure that we bought back in the dot com era. Cost us a few pretty pennies, barely fit in our yard? Yeah. that one. Well, when we moved it came with us. Only it wasn't moved "whole". It was taken apart. By me, Rod and Grampa Richard. Then it was shipped off to storage for a month and a half while we staged the old house. Then we piled it into a truck and hauled it up to Bonny Doon.

There we carefully covered it the best we could and waited out the winter. sixty-five inches of rain later, we decided to put it up...on the hottest day of the year (Saturday).

Rod came with his marvelous electric wrench and a dad from Rory's class came too. The ladies wisely stayed indoors and the three of us guys got to rebuild the thing. (Shawn will have pictures up soon.) It was hot. No, wait, it was HOT. So hot that I drank at least ten 16-ounce glasses of water on Sunday and I'm still thirsty today.

Oh, and I bought a really cool water slide for the boys!
