Acknowledgements
Sincere thanks to;
- Joseph Mack (Joe NA3T), for the program AZ_PROJ. A modified version of the AZ_PROJ data files are used in the SWLTool map drawing routine. AZ_PROJ allows users to draw very detailed 'flat earth' projections centred on any location. The web site is well worth a visit and may be found at http://www.wm7d.net/azproj.shtml . Joe may be contacted on jmack@wm7d.net .
- Formulae to produce the flat earth map were taken from the ARRL antenna handbook, 1984. Additional formulae were taken from Ed Williams Aviation Formulae v1.33 web site, http://williams.best.vwh.net/avform.htm.
- Martin Minow's (posthumous) web site http://www.merrymeet.com/minow/ was an invaluable mine of information when adding the greyline information to the flat earth map.
- The formula to calculate the MUF data were presented in QST. Rose, Robert B., "MINIMUF: A simplified MUF-Prediction Program for Microcomputers" QST Dec 1982, pp 36-38.
