Instruments: hollow body electric blond guitar (like the one on the rooftop in the Let It Be movie), acoustic guitar "signed" by John Lennon, harmonica

Of interest: He is the only Daytripper who is British (He is from the Kent area, outside London). He is the Art Director at a local printing company called Valenti Brothers. He likes to act in the theatre. His specialty is finding the third harmony, and he plays all the leads on "The End", no problem! He and Jim have another band that plays original music called 3Tripper.

Daytripper: Jim Smart

Beatle portrayed: Paul McCartney

Instruments: guitar, bass, piano and other sounds on his Roland XP 50; No, he does NOT play left handed, though he has tried!!! Jim is always trying to grab he guitar away from the other guys and play songs.

Of interest: He writes his own music, which he records at home. He maintains this Web Site. He teaches sixth grade at Punahou School. He has two sons, Jack and Jay, and a new daughter Sierra. Shari is his wonderful wife. He will answer e mail at smart@punahou.edu. He also sells the official Daytripper T shirts, CDs, and stickers. He has worked with David on original music for a band called 3Tripper.

Daytripper: Gerry Boulton

Beatle portrayed: George Harrison

instrument: authentic 1962 Gretsch 6 string, and an electic Rickenbacker 12 string.

Of Interest: He is the founder of the band. Gerry and his wife speak Japanese fluently. He is a limousine driver in Waikiki. He is a regular surfer, and he used to invest in mutual funds before the bubble burst. He often travels to various parts of the world. He has made friends with the Parrots, Tokyo's all Beatle band.

Daytripper:T J

Beatle portrayed: Ringo Starr

Instruments: authentic Ludwig drum set, tamborines, cow bells, etc.

Of interest: He does own a shirt. TJ is a real estate agent who lives with his wife Sharon in Kailua. He has played in many bands through the years, but is happy to just to play the Beatles, since they are the best! He threatens to leave the band if the song "Martha My Dear" enters the playlist. He keeps very accurate time, and makes sure the Daytrippers play the hits at the same tempo that the Fabs did. Yes, he sings Yellow Submarine, Honey Don't, With a Little Help From my Friends, and other Ringolations.
