Tipsy but for a reason

OK. I am, at this very moment, a bit tipsy. Sorry if this post wanders or there are glaring spelling / grammatical errors. There is a reason for my drunkenness. Last week on Wednesday, my massage therapist found a lump on my back. "There is a lump here and it is very palpable. You should see your doctor." She said.

This picture was published in our weekly news letter. Click on the small image to get a full size picture so you can read the caption. What I want to know is, what are the two big steering wheels for? At least it runs Fortran - I used to program in Fortran - using punch cards. UPDATE: Turns out this is a hoax.

2004 Tour de France is starting - links to everything you would want to know.

Today was the first stage in 23 days of serious cycling - the Tour de France has begun. I wanted to collect up some useful links (so I can find them easily as well as share them with you). There are lots of things to keep track of like, "what is the Polka Dot Jersey for" and "isn't a Jersey a cow" and "how many stages are there" and who is "the best young climber". 100 years back/forward and 7 generations

I ran across this while surfing the web .

"We are living in the 21st century now. However, many things were born and many important things disappeared in the 20th century. For better or for worse, We are here now because the 20th century existed... What did we lose [during] these [past] 100 years? and... What was born in these 100 years?"

This quote reminds me of the quote from the Iroquois Confederacy, "In our every deliberation we must consider the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations."
