A Free Vote


"There is no good reason, not one, to abandon Afghanistan. Too many Canadian politicians are focused, almost exclusively, on the next election rather than the good of the nation." - Do Not Abandon Afghanistan.

Instead of asking for a consensus in the next parliamentary debate on the Afghan mission, the prime minister should be asking for a free vote. It should be a matter of conscience, reneging on a commitment.
