Military Co-op debate returns


Tomorrow the Greater Essex County District School Board will consider a notice of motion from Trustee Harding-Smith to "look into the cancellation of the military co-op." The discussion begins in the Education committee meeting at 4:30 pm and, depending on the report of the committee, may be taken up by the full board in the evening. The board office is located at 451 Park Street, Windsor. The meetings are open to the public.

The last three board meetings have been addressed by members of Windsor Women in Black and the Windsor Peace Coalition, asking the trustees to end the program. The anti-co-op activists have created their own web site: Coop4Peace.

I haven't read or heard of any news media attention to these ongoing efforts. But I have my sources.
