Jingle Bell Walk


Spent Sunday morning in the Town of Essex, joining brother David and family at the 13th Annual Jingle Bell Walk, Run & Wheel. Dan and Alex ran the 5K while Patti, Dave and I took our time, allowing most of the more than 500 participants to pass us by.

Dave introduced me to fellow walker Susan Whelan, the federal Liberal candidate in our riding. We had a short cordial discussion about her party's position on the Afghanistan mission. She's not in favour of a combat role but was curious about why I was. I promised to read her article on the topic and keep her informed of my lobbying efforts.
