Fun with quotes 9/27 - Who said this?


OK. Here goes... Why is this quote so ironic?:

"My inclination was to support the government and the war until proven wrong, and that only came later, as I realized we could not explain the mission, had no exit strategy, and did not seem to be fighting to win."

You'll be surprised, I think...

Why, it was none other than George W. Bush himself, in his autobiography, "A Charge to Keep: My Journey to the White House". In that case, he was actually talking about Vietnam. Perhaps he should have paid more attention to his own words...
