9 Deaths from 'Mad Cow Disease' in New Jersey

A fellow blogger has linked to this article from the New York Times Sunday Magazine. (Unfortunately, it's already in archive status, so you've gotta pay $2.50 to read it)

Read on for Suzqueue's brief description of the facts.

Mad Cow in USA

Did you read this article in the NY Times magazine this week?

This is not an April Fool's Joke. Did you read the article in the NY Times magazine on Sunday (March 29, 2004 p.50) about the 9 cases of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease in New Jersey? It's at http://www.nytimes.com/2004/03/28/magazine/28MADCOW.html (you may have to register to read it, but it's free). All nine people ate at the Garden State Race Track, and several of them worked there. They were diagnosed with variant CJD, which is supposed to be a 1 in 1,000,000 occurence and almost always in people over 60 yrs old. There were only 1,000 season pass holders to this race track and 100 administrative employees, and 9 people died of "variant" CJD, most of them under 60 yrs of age. Sounds suspicious, doesn't it? Bush and his cronies are lying to us again. Mad Cow is here.
