New AdventuresWell, some of you know that I've been practicing
Tibetan Buddhism for a little while now. Part of the reason why One Voice Left
has gotten a little 'quiet' (to say the least!) lately is because some of the
contentious and angry posts I've made in the past just didn't really seem in
keeping with my new practice. I didn't really have a clue how to balance my new
practice with my old politically progressive self. Well, until now
anyway.
In the next few days, I'll be unveiling a new blog, devoted entirely to sharing my experiences in practice, news of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, progress in Tibetan self determination efforts, vegetarianism, and meditation... Well, some of you know that I've been practicing

In the next few days, I'll be unveiling a new blog, devoted entirely to sharing my experiences in practice, news of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, progress in Tibetan self determination efforts, vegetarianism, and meditation. The preliminary title is "A Buddhist in the Wilderness". I've always tried to be true to myself and what I believe in without being a jerk about it. Following the path of Dharma and what that entails has provided some unique insights into life here in Muskegon, and in Western Michigan as a whole. I've met some really interesting and devoted people, and found some inner peace I hadn't expected. One Voice Left isn't dead. I'll be toning down the snark factor a little, but don't expect me to fade away anytime soon. I'm hoping that giving a voice to both of the important things in my life will free up my tongue a little... ;) Posted: Thu - April 14, 2005 at 10:39 PM |

![]() One Voice Left has two meanings: being a voice from the 'Left', and feeling a little like I'm the last one... Human rights issues, political news and commentary are linked from here, with a smattering of my favorite music and some personal photography. Enjoy! Categories
