'Tis the SeasonYes, it's that time of year again. The vast
international sales and merchandising engine is in full roar -- stirring up
demand for stuff you didn't even know you wanted.
Interestingly enough, the tradition of giving gifts
this time of year was originally a Pagan custom. Mistletoe came from the Druids,
and Santa was derived from Norse
legends.
Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Rohatsu... everybody's celebrating something this time of year. Wouldn't it be nice if people would just share the 'Christmas Spirit' with one another year round? Posted: Fri - December 10, 2004 at 03:50 PM |

Why We're Here
![]() One Voice Left has two meanings: being a voice from the 'Left', and feeling a little like I'm the last one... Human rights issues, political news and commentary are linked from here, with a smattering of my favorite music and some personal photography. Enjoy! Categories
