I love PAC Tour, but I sometimes have trouble explaining to others (even some other cyclists) why riding 120-odd miles each day for three weeks is fun. So here's my attempt to share the experience. Of course, following a tour on a Web site is no substitute for riding the miles, but it might give you a taste. And you won't have to sit through the boring parts, either -- like that afternoon in eastern New Mexico two years ago when I started counting telephone poles.

Be forewarned: Some days I may be too tired (a profound state of relaxation is how I prefer to think of it) to write a coherent description or too rushed to stop and get a picture of that weird cactus or backwoods bookstore or probable UFO.

This is a work in progress, so if you have any comments, questions, criticisms, suggestions, typos, or good recipes for turkey tetrazzini, then send them to me.
