Community Service Links

Because much of the reading we do in the composition courses at UCR examines social and cultural issues, I offer this page of links to local, national, and international service opportunities in the hope that some of you may choose to translate your intellectual engagement with these issues into a more tangible and personal involvement. You can always talk to me or email me for advice and support in your pursuit of community service opportunities, but you may want to start by browsing through some of the resources posted here.

If you find other useful links or have trouble with these links, please let me know: jim_sullivan@mac.com

The logical place for a UC Riverside student to begin finding out more about community service is UCR's own program. Check out UCR's Campus and Community Service Program. Here you will find an impressive array of information about opportunities to contribute to your campus and local communities.
