Paul Crouch Gay?



Paul Crouch, the more sensibly dressed half of the Paul and Jan Crouch duo that runs fundie network TBN, has been paying off a former male employee to keep quiet about their affair. I don't have a huge axe to grind when it comes to old Paul, whom I never took all that seriously. (Though it is hard to refrain from pointing out that Paul is married to someone who dresses more like a drag queen than any drag queen, and that repressed homosexuality may be the only explanation for his tastes in set design). Still, if this is true, I've got to wonder how it must have been for Crouch to stand on stage with rampant homophobes like John Hagee and Rod Parsley, thinking of himself as hellbound, fearing the wrath of the God he worships.

I would suggest that Mr. Crouch find a denomination more accepting of his sexuality. Then again, he probably thinks it a sign of character that he continues to shill for people who would hate him if they knew the truth. There's just no pleasing some people.
