As a general rule, we only rent the downstairs apartment at times when we are not occupying the upstairs apartment. This will always be the case in June, July, August and September, so if you rent during these summer months you are guaranteed to have exclusive use of the swimming pool and garden. At other times of year (when the pool is not warm enough to use) it is possible that both apartments might be occupied simultaneously.
