The apartment is on the ground floor and there are no steps either inside or out. There is a grab handle to help with getting into the bath in the en suite bathroom in the blue bedroom, and another to help with getting into the shower in the shower/utility room. Getting into the pool might prove troublesome for an elderly person; there are steps down into the pool, but no grab handle.
When open, the internal doors provide 700mm wide access. This is less than the 800mm specified in recent national standards for wheelchair accessibility, so unfortunately the apartment is not suitable for wheelchairs.
