Rabbit gets a makeover

White skinned creature with bells for eyes, wrapped in a pelt of wool. Arm one is ripped off, arm two torn. Then leg one, then leg two silently removed. The thread of pleasure, of hearing the eyeballs ring with the thrill of change. Gently gently the limbs laid to one side. The body carefully laid out. Are there going to be arms, was asked. No, sweet, was the reply. The silent creature naked in its cloth of frightened whiteness, is wrapped in a cold thawing warmth of spun thought. No limbs or mouth or ears, hair is cautiously applied - finest whitest spun from the gossamer of a million broken bottles. Still no sound, apart from the occasional tinkle of the eyeballs. The hair arranged with two golden hearts of the deepest pin, right and left, positioned deeply into the aching back of neck. A velvet button is sewn into the right side of the wrapped body, on the left, an exposed metal shaft of discomfort, recalling a memory of a three walled room, a space lonely with moving light and shadow. Right now, the shoulders are given a firm hand of stitching with brown thread, then a diamond is found for the poisoned smile mouth. Complete, the cuddleless creature is quiet, yet warm, maintained and presented with a wild sort of desperate rigor. The ladies who made him were concerned that he was a girl, but once placed in the tiny quilted bed his outcome was forever decided, now with nowhere to go, he lays heavy with pockets of blank hurt and disembodied despair.
