About us

The farming business was established in 1942 at Holme Farm, Ince, this expanded with Wood farm, Ince being purchased in 1979.
The agricultural business now comprises oft the three farms with 250 acres of land, together with livestock consisting of 3000 pigs and 300 beef cattle.
The Effluent Disposal business was established in 1965, when out first small vacuum land spread tanker was purchased to handle the effluent from neighboring farms together with the wastes from our own livestock.
As the handling and disposing of wastes to land increased over the years, extra tankers were bought to accommodate, we invested large amount of moneys into the operation to keep all the equipment in good working order and to meet with modern requirements and standards.
We now operate 6 x 4 wheel drive tractors and tankers together with slurry pumps and an unbilacal system, applying in excess of 50,000 tones of sludge o land annually. Over this period of time we have built up a good working relationship with out customers.
As more strict guidelines came into force from the Environment Agency, and to deal with the expanding business, it was necessary and essential to apply for a Waste Management License.
In 1996 we received the license (the only one of its kind in this area) which enables us to discharge and store wastes in out bio treatment storage lagoons and then apply the wastes to land at a later date in relation to the crop rotation. This fits in very well with out farming practice in the benefits of increased fertility.
We are monitored very carefully by the Environment Agency, Cheshire County Council and Environmental Health, who have all visited our site and discussed our operation in depth.
