A moderately rememberable Norby book, with an usually annoying character—the young princess of Izz whom Norby, Jeff, et al. have to rescue—and an unusually bizarre problem to solve—the young princess has been turned into a tree. Other than that, this is an above-average entry in the Norby series. It’s interesting to see non-Terran aliens, and Melodia—the planet with the princess/tree— is also interesting. (Oddly, there are distinct echoes here between this book and Janet Asimov’s rather superior Package From Hyperspace , regarding music and its soothing various non-humans in the story.)
