miBookWriter is a powerful tool for authoring multimedia interactive content that may be used for computer based learning, testing, training, surveying, data collection, etc. It is the companion tool of miBookReader which presents the content created by miBookWriter for respondent interactions as well as evaluating the interactions, storing them, examining and visualizing the results.

Shown above is a screenshot of the content editor. In the middle is the page canvas showing a multiple choice question. Note the array of content building block trays located above the canvas. Simply drag items of interest from the trays onto the canvas. You copy, paste objects as needed. You move them around the canvas directly with your mouse to lay them out to your heart's content. miBookReader is intended for presenting multimedia interactive content created by miBookWriter. A user views and interacts with the content, the results are saved into a file which can then be examined and analyzed by interested parties such as teacher or trainer or the reader him/her self. The application works like a slideshow tool, but it can do a few things that a typical slideshow program does not do. The key differences include that miBookReader (1) permits a user to interact with the presented content; (2) tracks user interactions; (3) scores user inputs against expected results; and (4) summarizes and visualizes collected answers.

Pictured above is a screenshot of miBookReader's main user interface. In the middle is shown a multiple choice question. When a user clicks his/her answer, the scoreboard located above the question immediately updates. Note this is an optional feature. A user uses the arrow keys on his keyboard to move forward or backward as desired. Double clicking on any white space on the page view will advance to the next page. Alternatively pressing spacebar will have the same effect. To access a page out of order, switch to a desired view mode (such as page flow view, browser view or outline view).
