9 - october - 2006
here's a few
from all over the place. brooklyn brewery, pittsburgh,
philadelphia and from a stop on my way to work.
31 - july - 2006
went to liam's
cabin this past weekend and there was a fantastic rusting
front end loader... so here are a series of 5 photos from that and a bonus
bird feeder.
18 - july - 2006
here's the
latest batch - it feels as though it's longer and longer between
posts. at times I feel as if I haven't shot much. I feel pretty good about
this
round though - so enjoy and I'll try to shoot more often. plus it's my dad's
birthday today! Happy Birthday, Pop!
20 - april - 2006
I have a bunch
of rolls of 120 film I need to develop, I've
been cranking away on the 20D far too exclusively. the warmer
weather always brings the film back out, so look for more of that
in the future. for now, here's some photos from easter travels and
new job locations.
29 - march - 2006
another long
pause before an update, I'll try to make
this one worth it with a load of new photos. I've been
very bad about taking and posting new images lately, I
need to get back on the horse. these photos are from
all over the place - from new york, sea isle city and detroit.
hope you enjoy them all!
05 - january - 2006
first post of the new year and a very long time
coming. it was one thing after another and I had
trouble finding time to just sit down, prep photos
and post them up, so they're finally here. I probably
missed a bunch of good ones so I'll be reviewing
them a few more times. happy new year!
22 - november - 2005
got back from my honeymoon just recently and have
took a whole lot of photos there. there are a few that
I keep coming back to so I'm going to try to post those
up here as I get to processing them, here's the first few.
14 - october - 2005
just a little
update. a building and a chain. these were
processed to look a bit more harsh than I normally do.
hope you like them.

19 - september - 2005
thought I should
get a few more shots up onto here. I've been
having a little trouble making good photos lately. a trip to the
beach yielded a few keepers and just last friday a few of us
went to a bar and the spectacle there gets two photos here.
04 - august - 2005
went on a trip
to san francisco for a wedding and toured
around a bit with marianne. made some good holga
photos
so be sure to head over there and check that out
too.

04 - august - 2005
a while back
laura asked me to make some photos at
her wedding. I tried to get some different shots and
ended up borrowing someone's wide angle adaptor for
a nikon point & shoot, holding that backwards up to
my fisheye and shooting a bunch like that. two of those
posted here, and a third that I like.

05 - july - 2005
happy fourth of july!

02 - july - 2005
here are some
from different times. I am trying
too keep up with this but time is leaving me in
the dust lately. anyway, here's what I got...
12 - june - 2005
several months
since my last update. so, here is a
bunch for you. in and around new york city and at
coney island. I actually have more pinhole photos
to develop and process, I'll try to get those up here
in the next week or so. enjoy!
09 - march - 2005
last saturday
the parents were in NYC for a fantastic
visit. we were all shocked to hear that I had never been
to the top of the empire state building. thus, these pictures
now follow.
13 - february - 2005
today we went
to see christo's gates in central park.
it is a very large, 26 mile long art installation. I liked it.
I didn't love it. it was engaging and great to be able to
walk through such an installation, but I guess I liked his
other works much more. ah well, it's great to have it here
and I took some pictures. so here those are with a couple
extras just because.
10 - february - 2005
been a while
since an update. now that I am shooting a
lot more digital I have no excuse. I need to finish up some
film rolls, it's just so easy to keep going with the 20D. it's
so nice. anyway, here are a few shots from a get together
at a swanky pool hall called slate and a couple from cookie
night at the apt.
10 - february - 2005
I'm not posting
this with the above photos even though
they're all going up at the same time. these are from
various times here and there and I'm putting them up
now cause I just want to. I am starting to experiment
with black and white conversion from digital. personally
I am not quite happy with the results I am getting. what
I would like to do is to be able to emulate the look of what
I've been getting off of film. so one step at a time here.
27 - january - 2005
so, last night
I decided to try some night photography.
this isn't something I've really attempted in earnest so
it was a bit of an experiment for me. I was inspired by
all the night photos on No Traces.
so I hopped on a train
after work and headed to DUMBO. there are probably
better locations but I just needed a spot I was familiar with
and could get to pretty easily. it was all of 24 degrees out
with a major windchill but I had a good time. here are four
photos from that.
25 - january - 2005
well, happy
new year everyone. new year, new cameras. for
christmas i received a beautiful Zero 2000 camera from my
family. I can't wait to process that film and I love just looking
at that camera. I also recently purchased a canon 20D. I am
still getting used to it, but jeez. amazing. it's very exciting to use
because it simply feels like a film camera. mirror flops, and I
move on. I still forget that the lcd is there. anyway, here's a
couple photos from this evening. (no dust, scratches or lint!).
23 - december - 2004
after arriving
home from germany the holiday parties began.
editional effects has a great party each year and I decided to
bring my camera. I didn't actually break it out until I was thinking
about leaving and started running around grabbing some snap
shots of my friends. here are three that I like in particular. I
always feel like I don't have enough photos of friends and people
I hang out with. I suppose this may be because I still feel a bit
intimidated pulling the camera out. that is something I hope
to work on in the future because I often enjoy the resulting
photos. happy holidays everyone!
23 - december - 2004
so, it's been
a while since I developed some of my own film.
I don't do color processing so I take that to a lab (currently
b&h photo) then scan it at home. I've had a few rolls of tri-x 400
laying around waiting to be processed so I did those the other
night. I tried out the kodak microdol-x developer for the first
time and it's quite a difference. the grain structure is so much less
apparent than with d-76 1:1. so, here are a few from around
park slope, brooklyn (and one from germany).
14 - december - 2004
even more
trip photos! these are a bit more fun. around about
heidelberg in germany.

12 - december - 2004
trip photo
update: four photos from our side trip to dachau
concentration camp. I had previously posted one before, but
tonight I revisted the rolls to post a few more.
9 - december - 2004
another update
from my trip, these three photos are all from
prague. all of these color photos were shot using kodak 400uc.
i got them processed at a lab and am now in the process of
scanning each in. I still have at least a few more rolls to get through.
6 - december - 2004
not that
I've posted much here really, but I'm starting a bit of a new
format. instead of just linking to the image, I'll be providing a bit
more
information on each one in it's own page. this is to help me remember
as much as it's for the viewer's understanding.
having recently completed a trip to germany and czech republic I'll
be posting images here from that trip as I get them scanned and
processed. which reminds me, I just got a new film scanner.
future images will be courtesy of a minolta dimage scan dual iv.
that name is way too long. Below is the first posting.
27 - october - 2004
been almost
a month since an update, but I've been busy on the weekends
and getting stuff shot, processed, scanned and corrected takes a while.
this
roll is my first attempt at pushing film. nothing major, just yanked tri-x
400
up to 800. as far as I understand it'll go waaay higher than that, so
I'll have
to give that a shot too. in the mean time, here are some shots from two
rolls
mostly taken at night around town and bowling. fun!
30 - september - 2004
this set of
photos is from a roll I shot in early september. hanging
out at brooklyn bridge park with some friends and around park slope.
i find that i take pictures of locks and chains when i see them so thats
pretty much whats going on in the last few photos.
30 - september - 2004
this set comes
from a roll shot down in ocean city - and
one photo from the NYC subway system. these were shot
in early september.
2 - august - 2004
these are two
photos from the first roll of 35mm I've ever
developed. the first is of my apartment building and the next
of a daylilly in my parents back yard.
