amanda + matthew in NYC

Amanda + Matthew are the last of our NYC photo adventures-we weren't really given a great day to work with-it POURED buckets of rain as the time rolled around to start shooting-but we made the best of it!

Amanda + Matthew are getting married in Michigan next year so we had the opportunity to do their pre-bridals in NYC and had a blast avoiding the rain, and we got some images we just adore-some for our new site too!

To duck out of the rain we found this amazing place where they recycle (I am guessing?) magazines-but hey it was covered and the pile was super cool. The men working around us did think we were nuts with the bride and groom on top of a pile of newspapers-but we had fun! Amanda was super super brave BTW! She got major points in my book for having NO reservations whatsoever!

Erica + Dennis

could they be any cuter together? We just adore Erica and Dennis for so many reasons-down to earth, funny, expressive....just a joy to shoot. We are looking forward to their huge Macedonian feast of a wedding in September!

Engagement Session Marathons!

We have been baaaaddd bloggers. Or maybe just busy bloggers. We are swamped now that the season is upon us!

Emmie + Jake's e-session!

We had so much fun shooting Emmie + Jake's e-session last week! We have been so busy with studio happenings in the last week that we haven't had a spare second to blog!

Emmie + Jake are getting married in July and we cannot wait to photograph it!!

Mon - December 4, 2006

Jean + Mike

Venue: The Chop House, Ann Arbor

For a week that started out on Monday at 68 degree's we were so hoping that would continue for Jean & Mike's wedding on Saturday-it would have been so cool to have a December wedding that felt like September! We didn't get our wish, and it was about 22 degrees, but we did escape the big snow storm that was supposed to hit us, so that was awesome. Jean and Mike had an amazingly touching ceremony and a wonderful reception at the Chop House in Ann Arbor that was just lovely. After that we got to spin around Ann Arbor for a bit of after-reception portraits. We had a blast!!

Lia & Michael

We also got to shoot Lia & Michael's e-session today! It was marathon e-session day today!

They are getting married in March, and we are so excited to shoot their wedding. We also gave them a new apprecation for parking structures and our affinity for shooting in them!

Megan + Steve

Megan and Steve were in from Boston to spend time with family, so we got to schedule their e-session. We had a total blast chasing the light all over Ann Arbor! Enjoy the sneak peek guys!

Tracey + Kwesi

We had a blast shooting Tracey and Kwesi's e-session last night even though it got pretty cold. The light left us way to quickly, so we headed to the Masonic Temple (where their wedding will be in April) to shoot a bit inside-and they were gracious enough to let us in!

Mon - October 23, 2006

Danielle + Gus

Right after Andrea and Shane's session, we moved on to Gus and Danielle-who are getting married at the DAC next October..We had such a great time even though the playoff game traffic was a bit of a pain...as we got down by Comerica park, Nate and Gus walked right by Erine Harwell, and got to meet him (apparently, for Danielle and I, that is a legendary Tiger's announcer?) We both were all excited and then said, "who is that?".

This is our out-take...we all about died laughing looking at it on our LCD screen-Danielle looks like gumby-her legs are going every which way in her jump!

Andrea + Shane

I am so glad it worked out to shoot our sessions on Saturday! We were worried that the MLB playoffs would cramp our Detroit (go tigers!) e-session plans, but thank goodness it all worked out!

Andrea and Shane are so awesome-they booked us for their wedding next June at the GPYC, and it felt forever ago....and now it is just around the corner!

We got some great shots, this one being my favorite of their session:

Andrea's dad is renovating some really cool lofts in Detroit, so we got to shoot inside them for a bit, which was really fun-and a nice change of pace for us!:

Kevin + Alexis

Kevin and Alexis hired me to shoot their engagement session here in Ann Arbor where they met going to U of M. They are getting married in New Mexico, and after meeting them, I am really bummed that I can't shoot their wedding! We had a great time meeting you both! I hope you enjoy the sneak peek!

Lisa + Rastko

So much fun! Nate and I just loved shooting Rastko and Lisa's E-session. First off, any bride who actually moves her wedding date to be able to book us, is a bride we can't help but love. Secondly, they have a great relationship, and I really enjoyed seeing them interact. He proposed at the Eiffel Tower! They are getting married at the Royal Park Hotel next June, and I can't wait. I love actually getting to know our clients more on this level so when we shoot their wedding, we really feel like we know them. (we had such a good time shooting and then hanging out with you guys-you made our Monday!)
