Whitney's Headshot's

You may remember Whitney's amazing wedding at Meadowbrook in june-if not click here to refresh your memory of how gorgeous it was!

We were in NYC and Whitney needed some new headshots (she is an actress on Broadway) and we were so thrilled to try our first headshot session with her-we love what we captured-but to be fair-it wasn't hard-Whitney is gorgeous!

Thanks guys for the awesome recommendation of the Restaurant Hell's Kitchen-it was delicious-and our friends loved it too!

Two of my favorites from out and about NYC. We walked a ton!

the drake family

we had the total pleasure of photographing Geraldine and her two adorable daughters last week at the Arb in Ann Arbor. They have a special bench dedicated to their dad/husband so Geraldine wanted some photos taken there-it was a great location, very meaningful and beautiful light to boot-we couldn't have been happier that she asked us to shoot this session for them.

A quick sneak peek of a few favorites:

I love this shot by the bench:

how cute are they?:

The Nisly Family

We got to have lunch last friday with our friends the Nisly's from Ohio. They have an awesome photo business themselves, and we got to meet them for the first time in Vegas for our photo convention this year. After lunch we went around Ann Arbor and photographed them and their adorable daughter Rochelle-isn't she the cutest???? I have never met a toddler that could scoot away as fast as you put her down on the ground before!

Dave, Jeannie + Noah.

We had just the BEST time shooting Dave, Jeannie and their adorable baby boy Noah today. They have an awesome house with great light-and just a great family to put in it!

Enjoy your sneak peek guys! Thanks for the apple pie-it was delicious!

We kept trying to get Noah not to do this all shoot-but he just wanted too-so I love this shot! He has the most beautiful blue eyes!:

Jeannie and Noah-I just adore this portrait of them-so sweet:

Noah all swaddled up and adorable:

IMANI

we had the privilege of photographing this little cutie a few weeks back and thought we would share a few of our favorites! (all naturally window lit-which we find children respond to much more naturally!)

family!

Many of our clients have been requesting family sessions for gifts for friends, family or them!

Just a note on how we do things:

-we do all family/baby sessions at your home. Children and people in general photograph better in a familiar environment. Plus, photos at home are a lot more meaningful to a family than photos in a strange photo studio. We don't need a ton of space! The photos below were photographed in a room no bigger than 9x10.

-We will photograph children alone AS a part of a family session. We strongly believe that when children grow up they not only want to see images of them as children but also photographs of them as children interacting and playing with their parents. I cannot tell you what I would give to have photos like that of my parent's and me as a child. We want to re-define why portraits are important. You are investing in memories that go by all to quickly as your children grow up!

-The session lasts about 1.5 hours. We will observe you playing with, and just enjoying your family! These are personality sessions. If you want a line-em-up sorta of shoot-we don't do those.

A few from a recent session:
