Xin Ba Ke goes Norah
Ok, so I admit it. I am a Starbucks (Xin Ba Ke)
junkie here in Shanghai. Maybe its the fact that its the only place in town
that enforces the concept of a line (or queue). Also, its probably the cheapest
coffee place in town once you decide that McD's and Kentucky Fried Empire is
just not coffee.
But lately, Starbucks is really pushing this
upcoming Norah Jones concert in Shanghai. So the place is jam packed with Norah
Jones shizzle. Pictures, Pamphlets, CDs, everything. Also... the only music
they play now.... Norah Jones. Its really quite scary. Its like a whole chain
dedicated to Norah Jones. Maybe she's the new Starbucks CEO and I the Chinese
filters have been blocking it out.
