Smallest of the successor realms of Arnor, and founded in TA 861, Rhudaur did not long last as a viable Dunedain realm. By XXXTA it had already fallen under the influence of the Witch King, and the last vestiges of its Dunedain rulers were gone by YY. However, in the years following the destruction of both Arthedain and Angmar, the lands of Rhudaur once again became the home of Dunedain - but this time the Angle and the lands near the Ford of Bruinen were the dwelling place of the Chieftains of the Dunedain, last remnants of the rulers of Arnor and the heirs of Isildur. |
