This
picture would only have been better if I had brought my camera downstairs with
me in the first place, when I found him curled up in there trying to sleep. By
the time I made the round trip he'd assumed this sleepy-faced-but-sitting-up
posture...
Then,
a bit later, after I'd finally coaxed him out of the cabinet and closed the
door....
Poor boy, he's not getting
enough attention, what with my walking pneumonia and inability to handle cat fur
at the moment.
As we all know, what my work is really lacking is
enough animals. So, we now have 5 more chickens and 2 goslings we're
raising.
I have
completely
fallen for these geese. I even got to name
them.
This
is Juniper. She is the more mellow of the two. Sweet, laid back,
cuddly.
And
this is Miss Francis. She's the opinionated one. Just as affectionate, but more
likely to just run right out into midair when you open their cage in order to
get to you. And jabber at you the whole
time.
I can't decide which one I love
more.
(By the way, they've already
doubled in size from when I took these pictures last week.
This is Sookie's
nephew. (Her brother's son.) He's now also her bond mate.
You can't really see it well in this
picture, but he's marked just like a siamese cat. Karen named him Souci because
it's French for "trouble."
It should
seriously be illegal for anything to be as cute as this
bunny.
(Also, Simon
adores
this bunny. A minute and a half before this shot, he was rolling on his head,
begging her to run by again - which is why I got out the camera.)
