Bunny Bonding: Unification Day!!



Dear Aunty Aud,

In a nifty bit of serendipity, Bastian's fixing reached full effect on my birthday weekend. Which meant that I got to drag myself out of bed from the Monster Plague to End All Plagues Because Murphy F*&*ing LOVES Me, and bring you the following photo essay....





As has never happened before, both cages opened, freeing both bunnies in the Same Room At The Same Time. *cue drums*




And of course it took our son all of 37 seconds to insinuate himself into her space.




Awww.

And then, there was so. much. humping. I will save you from most of it. Karen certainly wished she could be saved from it. I insisted we supervised to ensure that it didn't get ugly and nobody hurt anybody else, but I totally thought Karen was going to dig her own eyeballs out....

Here's one I won't save you from....




Because you kind of need to know that eventually, Sera was like, "Dude, could I at least get a snack?" Our boy is a total pig. Even as an X-male. (Which is what his vet calls him now. I know, heartless. Is it any wonder he feels it necessary to assert his boyhood so vehemently?)




Then she started checking out his cage, with him following her around all, "Um, is it okay? Because we can change everything if you like....."




Awwwww, again.




And again. :)




And then started the chasing.... And the chasing was because,.... (wait for it....)




They simply could not agree on who got to hump who next.

.....

I know.

And let me just take this moment to say that, as ridiculous and cringe-worthy as it is to see him humping her.... her humping him is about the most painfully funny thing I've ever seen. I mean... he's a bit bigger than her, so she keeps, well... sliding off... and... umm.... *snort*

So the reason she's having to resort to humping him is that he's completely missing her "Groom me now, please," poses, so he needs to be taught who the boss is around here. Sera likes a good tumble as much as the next girl, but she expects to be wined and dined a bit as well....

And, you know, worshipped as the Bunny Goddess that she is.




She is the Queen of Everything, even if His Gaucheness has yet to bow to her authority.




And one more awwwww, to leave you with.

They aren't cohabiting yet, since they're still fighting out who's gonna be the boss.... Well, Sera's fighting. Bastian's just looking at her like an idiot when she requests grooming and wondering why she won't let him hump her at all anymore.

He's a big dumb lug, but I love him too much to let it get to the point where she may feel compelled to take a real bite out of him. So, for now, they're still on supervised visitation.
