Award - winning Atlanta portrait artist Jenny Lyon paints traditional,
heirloom oil portraits which capture the unique beauty of each child and individual.
She specializes in portraits of children and babies.
Jenny
Lyon is a seventh generation Atlanta native who has been studying and
practicing art for twenty - five years. She specializes in fine art portraits painted in the
classical, realist style. Her
oil on linen paintings are executed with the highest quality, traditional
materials, designed to last for centuries.
Jenny
has a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Georgia. She graduated magna cum laude from Davidson College with Honors
in Art and a double major in English.
She
studied abroad for three semesters in Italy, France, and England while on
the full - cost Baker Scholarship and spent extensive time studying the
great works in the Louvre in Paris, National Gallery in London, Uffizi in
Florence, and Vatican Museums in Rome. Her paintings are influenced by the work of Leonardo da
Vinci, Jacques - Louis David, Titian, Diego Velázquez, and Anthony Van
Dyck.
Jenny has the same
passion for children and babies as she does for painting portraits. Her background as a certified
teacher gives her the firm understanding and patience necessary to evoke
the true personality of each child.
She is a new mom.
