Each pet is a best friend, a beloved companion.   Through my paintings and drawings I try to capture each pet's innate dignity, grace, and beauty.  I work in a traditional manner in oil on linen or charcoal on paper, building the work intricately and gradually.  Layer by layer, the paint or charcoal captures the coloring and texture of your pet, whether an elegantly refined, pure - bred coat or a wild and wooly mix that is a breed all its own.

When working with each pet I draw on my experience as a pet owner and on my training as a handler.  I apply my skills as a pack leader who manages a household and studio with a house rabbit and Golden Retriever to keep your pet comfortable, calm, and submissive throughout the photography session.  When selecting the portrait artist to capture the likeness of your family companion, look for a professional with patience with animals, a genuine love of animals, a well - organized photo session and clear working procedure, a  deep knowledge of his or her field, and the flexibility for working with the unpredictability of life with pets.
