Ingredients

  • 4 cups dried black beans
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 bottle your favorite bbq sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar

Directions

Put the beans and water in the crock pot on high for 6 hours. After they are done, smash them with a potato masher to thicken - then add the whole bottle of bbq sauce and the brown sugar.

Serve over rice, or in burritos/wraps - cold or hot. Use cold in sandwiches with your favorite toppings.

These are so delicious!! They are very similar to El Pollo Loco's Smokey Black Beans, if you have ever had them.
