JEMPIX.com was created to showcase Jason E Mark's PIX . Jason received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of Saskatchewan in April 2001. He received great distinction with a distinguished exhibition in studio art. In 2006, he studied the Design and 3D Animation for Video Games at the National Animation & Design Centre, specialising in character modeling. A year in Halifax also introduced him to experimental animation, where he was a member of AFCOOP (Atlantic Film-makers Co-operative). There he looked into stop animation and traditional cel animation. Jason's graphic work stemmed from his interest in comic books, asian cinema and animation. The use of computers has allowed him to created bold and unique images and illustrations. Over thirteen years in a prepress environment also assisted in his knowledge of layout and design. Painting, drawing and printmaking are the focus of his artwork. |
