I have been very privileged to be a part of the historical society of North Attleboro, MA and a volunteer at the historic Woodcock Garrison House. The garrison, which was built in the 1600s now serves as a historic museum full of wonderful pieces from the past.
I started volunteering there as a tour guide in October of 04. I usually give tours of the second floor of the house to 3rd grade public schoolers. The kids are always very cute and the Garrison has become a regular and beloved part of my life. I work with some excellent people, have expanded my knowledge of local history, and have lots of fun!

March 2006 - Here are a few fun pictures that Rebekah (who works at the Garrison now, too) and I took during the new season. Enjoy! |
Here's me and Rebekah in the Keeping Room after the schoolchildren had left.
We're holding Homer and Handel Daggett, who lived in the house over 200 years ago. They're still cute, despite their age. :) |
More baby pictures. Don't ask me which twin is which. :)
|
Wow! It's been a while since I've held a baby like this! I didn't realize how much I miss it!
Aren't these the cutest and most adorable dolls you've ever seen? |
Tucking Homer and Handel into bed.
Sleep tight!!! |
Just for fun - a couple of avatars I made.
I can't make up my mind which one I'll use. Hmm... |
In November of 04 my mom organized a special tour for some of our friends, with great success. Here are some pictures of my giving the tour, as well as some original garments belonging to the house.
The Garrison was decorated for Christmas time, and was very pretty! |
The Woodcock Garrison House (circa 1600s) all dressed up for Christmas!

"Standin' by the wreath-ed door..."
Sorry, just sounded like some sort of Christmas Carol. :) |
I love close-ups. :)
I'm hiding the (inaccurate) admission sign. |
Here I am about to start the tour of the second floor.
Don't I look so domestic on that Queen Anne style chair? |
My in my historic element..
|
Here I am picking up the (gasp!) blue sunglasses!
|
