Materials:
An unknown Butterick pattern, cotton with printed apple design.
The fabric for this jumper was given to me by my sewing teacher. The pattern was also from her stash and so I don't know what the pattern number was. But it all went together very well. |
Construction:
This is the first real dress I ever made. I started sewing lessons with my sewing teacher in June of 2001. This was our first project and I had a really nice time making it. When I made the pleats on the front of the dress I had a hard time with them (as it was my first ever time doing them! :) and my teacher had to help me re-line some of them. Even so, the front of the dress doesn't always look perfectly straight when one of us is wearing it. |
The Finished Jumper:
I finished the jumper in September 2001. It has seen years of service and has been worn first by me, then by Rebekah, and now by Lydia (who is wearing it in the pictures). This was a milestone in my world of sewing.
