I finally finished listening to Gilead. This is a work that deserves to be heard or at least to be read slowly. I should also call your attention to a fine review by Joshua Anderson, a promising young seminary student at our church.
Next, I need to read Robinson's The Death of Adam. The only copies that are currently available for purchase are rather expensive ($100-200), so I'll wait till the paperback edition is reprinted or republished. One can, however, read the first chapter "Darwinism" at the NY Times site. |
