| The End of Rifle Season | | Date Created: Nov 22, 2004, 09:07 PM |
Yesterday and today were my last chances this year to bag a deer the easy way--with a .30-06 canon. I didn't see one, not even a little doe. I know they where there because there were tons of fresh tracks all over the place. Well, this is the end of rifle season and they are all either dead or spooked. They come out at night. They're smart. I'm gonna wait two weeks and go back out with my bow.
This year was the first time I ever worried about scent discipline. I washed my camos with special detergent, threw them in the dryer with earth scented sheets, masked my smell before going out with spray and powder scent neutralizer, threw "scent bombs" around the stand to attract the deer, and more. Gee, you know, I'm looking at this 100% money back guarantee on all this stuff and thinking I might need to find my receipts. |
