For some time now most of my essays listed on our church's web stite have been unreadable because of some stupid html coding mistakes on my part when I uploaded them. Some of these essays are really good. At least I like them. So I'm going back and correcting the problems so they can be enjoyed by everyone. Now, please, don't everybody rush to read them at once or the server will meltdown. It can't handle millions and millions of hits per second, doencha know.
After I correct and post each one, I will give notice here on my blog.
Anyway. . . the first one is The Ground of Salvation: Luther's Evangelical and Christological Method of Distinguishing Doctrine Within the Early Church Councils and Fathers. I know. There's a bit too much detailed analysis of Luther's arguments in the middle section--the long middle section. So if you don't like that that kind of thing (even though I do!), skim it and get to the end. I think Luther's understanding of the creeds and councils as "ministerial" is dead-on right. There may be some help here for those poor souls who look so longingly toward Rome today.
(Some of the German may not show up properly because of the special characters--umlauts and all that. But I ain't gonna go back and fix all that.
