Tower of London

Today, after breakfast at the hotel we headed to the Tower of London. Once there we got on a tour. During the tour a little chinese girl asked if she could take a picture of wyatt. This was just a taste of things to come. We also saw where 5 or 6 people got their heads chopped off, including Anne Bolyn and several people on direction of Elizabeth I, including an old boyfriend. I guess women have always been the same.

The White Tower
Another Tour
After the first tour, I listened to another about how Edward I became overlord of Scotland by arbitrating who would be king of scotland. He said he would do it only if he would be overlord. The Scots were pretty stupid to agree to this, but they did. Edward then chose the weakest of the three to be king. He then started meddling in Scottish affairs as he wished. William Wallace tried to lead a rebellion and even won a battle, but eventually ended up drawn and quartered in London.
After that tour, we toured the White Tower which had a lot of old armour and guns on display, including Henry VIII armour and also a lineup of many kings and their horses. We then looked around a bit more and saw the crown jewels and the tower Ravens, which were all around. It's said that if the Ravens ever leave, the monarchy will fall, so the Ravens that are there all have their wings clipped, although they seem to be able to fly a little. After the Tower we headed for the London Dungeon.
London Dungeon

After MUCH searching we finally found the london dungeon. It was kind of a museum of horrors, documenting the many ways humans have tortured and killed each other through the ages. At one point a prison worker explained how she tortured people by twisting and puling out the tongues of liars and making them eat it, and cutting off private parts of people convicted of sex crimes. At the end they convicted us all of possibly being swedish and sent us off on a boat where we were executed.
