 So the appointment's made... Ricky goes under the knife early Saturday morning. Poor Ricky only has the rest of the week before he goes under the knife for his neutering. That's 6 days he gets to lick his balls before they're gone!
The good news is that good vet's these days have made the modern procedure so non-invasive, that the minimal sutures will result in no scarring and will only take a few hours of recovery. No awkward white cone for Ricky's head (though my wife Gene is a bit upset that we won't be able to take Cone-head photos of Ricky). The old procedure took around a week for recovery. I'm sure Ricky will be happy about that.
It will definitely result in a safer and healther life for Ricky (less chance of Cancer and cysts) though we'll see how much it affects his already rambunctious nature. I hope he's just as energetic, but a bit less naughty after the procedure. |
